Do you ever feel like there just aren’t enough hours in the day? Here’s where outsourcing shines! It’s about playing to your strengths and leaving the rest to others.
Outsourcing tasks like admin, bookkeeping, or even social media management frees up your time to focus on what you do best – growing your business. It’s not about losing control. It’s about empowering others to help you scale effectively.
I would not have the business I have today if I tried to do everything myself.
You are the founder of your own company, and you should not be spending your time on jobs which are not bringing you in revenue.
By freeing up your time, you will find you will be more creative, you can focus on the side of your business which you love, this may be more sales calls, planning more launches, going to more events to build connections and so on…. All of which will lead to new business. Sitting at your desk doing admin won’t!
I believe this is one of the most important things you need to do in your business to grow. It is also an investment I recommend you make even if you feel you can’t afford it yet. You will be way more productive yourself, and you will generate more money doing the things you love and passing over the things you don’t.
You may be wondering where to start?
Write a list of all of the jobs which you really don’t enjoy doing, or maybe what you know you’re just no good at!
Then create a short job description based on this. If you use a specific CRM system, make sure you highlight that anyone you take on will need to know how to use it. You don’t want to pay someone to learn in the early days, you want someone who can hit the ground running to support you.
When you share the job description, highlight how you want to be contacted. I see far too many posts online where people will ask for a VA. By doing this you’re likely to be inundated with comments, tags and cold DM’s. Companies don’t work in this way. Be professional.
State that you want a CV, or a completed application, and that you will only accept emails and not DMs.. If someone wont send a CV or an email, and they just pop you a message to try and bypass any work, are they really right for you? The answer is no!
By being professional and recruiting in the right way, freelance or employed, you are far more likely to find the right person for you.
Are you ready to outsource or even take on more team members if you have started? I would love to know your experiences.
